Woking Gymnastics Club

New Facility

A new facility for Woking Gymnastics club features in a recently submitted planning application for a £8.5 million sports centre at the Bishop David Brown School in Sheerwater, Woking.

As well as a 25m indoor swimming pool, sports hall and fitness facilities
there is provision for a gymnastic centre approximately twice the size of our present building. This would enable us to reduce the size of our current 900 waiting list and offer much better facilities for visitors such as a viewing gallery and disabled access.

If planning permission is granted then the next step is finding funding from a variety of sources such as the New Opportunities Fund and Sport England.

If this proposal becomes a reality Woking Gymnastic Club would move to and run the gymnastic centre in a similar manner to which it runs the existing facility. e.g. a Charity providing gymnastics opportunities to all in the community.
