National Silver for Beth & a Hat Trick for the South East! - 27 Apr 2008 by Sarah


Despite a fall on beam, 13 year old Beth Andrew's classy & clean gymnastics throughout the rest of the competition, was enough to ensure she won the Individual Overall Silver at the 2008 Club Grade 1 National Finals held in Birmingham on April 27th with a score of 48.950. South East Team Mates, Samantha Golding took the Gold with 49.200 and Naomi Lee, the Bronze with 48.800; th first Hat Trick for the South East for Many years. Indeed, it is rare for any Region to achieve this result! Consequently, the South East also won the Grade 1 Team Title & Trophy with this solid performance - Well Done!



Katie Passes National Compulsory 2 - 09 Mar 2008 by Sarah
Contratulations! to 11 year old Katie Carter who successfully passed her National Compulsory 2 in Liverpool on Sunday March 9th 2008. Katie completed the set requirements with little error and no falls to achieve this important milestone. The result now entitles Katie to compete in the Espoirs British Championships in 2009 - Well Done!

Following this successful Championships for Woking GC, Emily Wharton, Natasha Brewer and Beth Andrew have all been selected to represent the South East Region at the National Finals in April & May. Watch this Space for the Results!
